This exemption extends the period to 7 Apr 2020 during which pilots of EASA aeroplanes and TMGs can continue to operate with an appropriate non-EASA licence as defined by the UK ANO, eg PPL or NPPL but limited to LAPL privileges.
Under a separate exemption, pilots of UK registered EASA sailplanes are exempt from the requirement to hold an SPL or LAPL(S) until 7th April 2020.
